The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of adventurers who will separate from the main group to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.
This warrior group features Teor (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.
This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
First, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—used the foes for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.
The traitor then paid off his debts and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:
- Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- The adventurer knows the region and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
- The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could assist the party reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The cleric defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them few options but to head to Timmony in quest for Casimir.
